The study examined Bath the level of Protected Area Management Practices in the Nigerian National Park Service.Primary data were collected through interviews and Focus Group Discussion.Secondary data involved a reconnaissance survey of the park for two months to assess the situation on ground in the study area.Data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics as well as LeatherR chi-square.Results of the study revealed that management strategies adopted in the operations of the park were inadequate for effective park management.

Adequate funding and provision of modern patrol equipment were considered necessary for effective management of the park.
